Team XO Release - U.S. Indoor Nationals 2008Published by
2/25/08 - Boston, MA - Team XO kept it relatively low-key this weekend at the U.S. Indoor National Championships. After three cancelled flights, XO arrived at the airport a day after originally planned. The team came away with varying degrees of success. Kyley Johnson, coming off his best ever series at the Washington indoor meets, continued his 7 foot + streak with his 7-1.5 jump and fifth place finish. "I was happy with clearing the first two heights on the first attempt each," Johnson recapped. In the middle distances, Jeff Fisher finished his race in 1:51.70 but did not qualify for the finals. Kalpanatit Broderick, making a spectacular return from injury, took one for the training group and agreed to rabbit the 1500. His unselfishness led to a fast indoor time for the entire field. Team XO's focus has always been on the outdoor season and with it peeking just around the corner, many more athletes will be opening their seasons in the next few meets. Kevin Ullman More news
